Courses:

Course Lead for Introduction to WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting)/ MPAS (Model for Prediction Across Scales). Instructor for Introduction to Atmospheric Science (IAS), Climate Modelling Summer School (CMSS), and Atmospheric Measurement and Modelling Summer School (AMMSS).

Role:

My background is largely in using large, complex numerical weather prediction models. I have been involved in the joint NCAR-NCAS WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting)/ MPAS (Model for Prediction Across Scales) courses since 2009, and since 2019 I have been Course Lead. These courses involve a week-long series of tutorials and practical demonstrations, in addition to a half-day workshop. I have also given guest lectures in the Introduction to Atmospheric Science course, on numerical modelling in general. I am also a member of the Training Advisory Group.
