The National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS) is now accepting applications for its Introduction to Unified Model course – a practical training opportunity designed to help early-career researchers and professionals work with the UM modelling system.

The Met Office Unified Model is used for weather and climate prediction by forecasting centres worldwide. Through a series of short lectures and hands-on workshops, this course will cover everything from the fundamentals of the UM modelling system, to using and converting UM data files.

Other than learning with our experts in the field, this course is also an opportunity to network and connect with like-minded individuals and make connections for life.
