Workshops to shape the future of sustainable research computing

Join us in shaping the future of sustainable research computing by participating in one of our community workshops in October to define the Network for sustainable Digital Research Infrastructure Vision and Expertise (NetDRIVE) work plan and help drive the transformational change needed to achieve sustainable research computing by 2040.

The NetDRIVE team has been invited by UK Research & Innovation to build a proposal for a network of experts, a team of four champions, and a fund for community projects.

NetDRIVE aims to connect diverse disciplines and stakeholders across the UK, contributing to the development of innovative Net Zero Digital Research Infrastructure approaches. This initiative is founded on inclusivity, welcoming voices from all research disciplines, career stages, and perspectives.

Whether you’re passionate about the potential of science and technology or the creative power of the human spirit, your input is valuable and crucial at this proposal stage.

Attending a NetDRIVE workshop is your chance to influence the future direction of the initiative, and ensure it effectively serves the community and UK Research & Innovation.

If you can’t attend, you can still contribute to the NetDRIVE proposal by completing our short survey and joining our contact list.

Workshop registration and dates for your diary:

  • Edinburgh: Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 October 2024 – register now
  • Daresbury: Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 October 2024 – register now

These workshops, each spread over two half-days, are designed to foster debate and constructive feedback, ensuring our proposal benefits from diverse perspectives. We’re especially interested in your thoughts on shaping the roles of the champions, building an effective expert network, and identifying both quick wins and critical challenges.

We look forward to your participation and insights – sign up to attend a workshop.
