Unique opportunity to learn atmospheric modelling with NCAR and NCAS

Join atmospheric modelling experts in Edinburgh this October to gain hands-on experience of using state-of-the-art atmospheric model and data assimilation software, taught by the people that wrote and developed it.

Leading scientists from the National Centre for Atmospheric Research in the USA, and the National Centre for Atmospheric Science in the UK, are joining forces in the autumn to help you get the most out of MPAS-Atmosphere and MPAS-JEDI.

The atmospheric components of MPAS have applications in global climate, regional climate, and weather studies. Bespoke tutorials led by MPAS experts will cover the basics of setting up and running model simulations, in a supportive learning environment alongside other new model users.

Registration to attend the course will open soon. Sign up to receive further information and a notification when registration is open.

Dates: October 21-25, 2024

Location: Edinburgh, UK
