Join an online community for public engagement with atmospheric science
The National Centre for Atmospheric Science has started an online Community of Practice to support public engagement with atmospheric science in the UK.
A Community of Practice (CoP) is a group of people who share a passion or concern for something they do, and want to learn how to do it better as they interact regularly.
Many members of the atmospheric science research community already participate in public engagement, and we know that some people have used it as a way to generate research impact.
But we also know that some of our colleagues feel less confident, experienced or convinced of the benefits.
We recognise that this community is spread across the UK, and wanted a way to bring people together and support public engagement.
Membership is voluntary, and you can become a member by completing our Google Forms sign-up sheet.
If you have any questions please get in touch with Harriett Richardson, Communications Manager for the National Centre for Atmospheric Science.
